FOOTBALL!!!!!!
The football season has begun!!!! YEA BOY!!! The first game is Miami at Pittsburgh and it's a dam good game. Charlie Batch is killin' them bitches. In other news. I haven't played any video games in like forever. I've played Madden '07 for the 360 a few times, and I must say its a beautiful looking game. They have THE SPECTRUM in the background of Lincoln Financial Field. Which for you none Philadelphians is the old school venue the Flyers and Sixers used to play in. It's ridiculous that someone would even mention it nowadays, let alone have a video game use it as a background. The players and physics are awesome. However it slightly lacks in game play.
The running game is insanely better. The jukes, tackles, break tackles, swim moves. They all look and act very real. But with the running game being so jazzed up they totally left out the passing game. Now I know part of this next paragraph may have something to do me sucking, and the fact that I've never played a sports game on the 360. However some of what I say has creedance. The passing isn't very intuitive. In the previous game you could lead receivers, throw at there feet or over throw a fly route with the touch of the analog stick. Now Peyton Manning and Jim Sorgi both throw were the receiver was, and not were he is going to be. It's pretty frustrating. But it may just be that I haven't got a feel for the game. And also the lack of a full feature Franchise Mode and Fantasy Draft was a huge bummer. One of the best parts of the previous game was running a team for years and building a champion. Comparing and earning stats against another user simultaneously. Madden '07 keeps track of those stats, but only for the main profile. However I haven't played online yet, and that is supposedly the bread and butter of the newer generation of games. So I'll hold off permanent judgement until I feel I can really play the game. SIDE NOTE: The cartoon short is almost done. I'm stoked about that. It has taken sooo much longer than it should have. But at least it's almost done. More on that later. Numero Uno
So, this is blogger.com, eh? I have to say as nerdy as I am, I haven't been here yet. However now its been added to my nerd resume along with Myspace, AIM, Subprofile, and all those "cool... but then 5 months later uncool" internet things kids do these days.
I am sincerely hoping this blog will become a daily endeavor of mine. Updating it with nonsense that happens to me through out the day. Various rants and raves about anything an everything. The begining will probably be mostly video games and computers, but that's just because I've got a crapload of new games for my 360 and no time to play them anymore with school now starting. But I hope to have something interesting to say and that some peoples will dig it. Also, I'd like to bring attention to a cartoon I animate called "DRIFTERS". It is about me and my friends and the crazy ass things that occur in our daily lives. It's all based on fact too I swear. If you'd like to check it out the link is here, and should be on that side panel thing if I remembered to put it there. If not just go back to the beginning of this sentence and you're all good! I don't have much more to say right now except that it's food time and half days rock! Until we meet again, peace!
